What is Tryst?

Tryst is an iPhone date-planning app for couples who are already together. You pick the kind of night you want, and Tryst turns it into a real plan — a place, timing, a checklist, and a thoughtful touch — that you can send to your partner in a tap.

Is Tryst a dating app?

No. Tryst doesn’t match you with people or help you meet anyone. It’s for couples who are already together. You bring the person; Tryst plans the date. (More on what Tryst is and isn’t.)

Does Tryst use AI?

Tryst uses a matching system to fit date ideas to what you’re planning — your vibe, budget, occasion, and what you’ve enjoyed before. It’s not a chatbot and it doesn’t generate random ideas. The 550+ date ideas are handwritten, and the app matches them to you. There’s no public score and no paid placement.

Does Tryst rate venues?

Tryst doesn’t publish or rank venues by stars. It classifies a place by how it fits a date — vibe, budget, whether you can talk there. After a date, you can privately note how a venue felt, just for your own memory, which quietly improves your future matches. That’s private to you, not a public rating.

Does Tryst learn my preferences?

Yes, and privately. As you plan and reflect on dates, Tryst gets more personal to you — the vibes you lean toward, what worked, your partner’s preferences. All of it stays on your device and your own iCloud. We don’t see it.

Can I plan a first date with Tryst?

Yes. Tryst is great for a low-pressure, easy first date — coffee, a walk, a casual dinner, somewhere you can actually talk. It plans the date; it doesn’t set you up with a person.

Can I plan an anniversary with Tryst?

Yes. Tryst handles occasions from a quiet just-because night to a full anniversary or milestone, and it can plan an all-out experience when the night calls for it. It even remembers first-date anniversaries.

How does Tryst choose its recommendations?

You tell Tryst the night you want — the vibe, the budget, the occasion. Tryst matches its ideas and places to those, factoring in context like time of day and season and what you’ve enjoyed before, and it tells you why each suggestion fits. There’s no secret score and no paid placement. (More on how Tryst categorizes places.)

Is Tryst free?

Yes — free to download with 550+ date ideas built in. There’s an optional upgrade for premium plans and extras, but you can plan real dates without paying anything.

What cities does Tryst cover?

Tryst’s 550+ ideas and planning tools work anywhere. For hand-curated local date spots, Huntsville, Alabama is live now, with more cities coming.

How does my partner get the plan?

You send the plan straight to your partner’s phone — no account or sign-up needed on either side. They open it and see the whole date laid out.
